Junior Graphic Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time freelance contractor as our Graphic Designer and Website E-commerce UI/UX specialist with a sales-first mindset.

You will be responsible for developing and producing high-performance graphic and video ads for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and YouTube, as well as building mockup designs for e-commerce websites.

This role demands creating scroll-stopping, conversion-driven creatives that outperform current top ads and landing pages that convert better than existing ones. You will work end-to-end from concept to execution, collaborating with account leads and media buyers while leveraging performance data to rapidly iterate and improve ad performance.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where the priority is to sell and convert, not simply “look good.”

Key Responsibilities

Creative Production

  • Concept, script, and produce high-converting video ad creatives for Meta and YouTube
  • Create UGC-style video ads using talent or AI tools (Synthesia, HeyGen, etc.)
  • Create scroll stopping graphic ads on Meta ads.
  • Self-execute production and editing when speed is critical; collaborate with editors when available
  • Create A/B/C variants to combat creative fatigue and improve CTR/ROAS
  • Deliver new ad concepts per week (excluding variants)
  • Write compelling, conversion-oriented copy with strong hooks, urgency, and clear CTAs

Video Editing & Motion Graphics

  • Edit raw footage into polished, high-converting video ads (15s, 30s, 60s formats)
  • Create dynamic motion graphics, animated text overlays, and engaging transitions
  • Optimize video pacing and rhythm to maintain viewer attention and drive action
  • Color grade and audio mix videos for maximum impact
  • Produce multiple format variations (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) from single video assets
  • Implement quick cuts, speed ramping, and other advanced editing techniques for scroll-stopping content
  • Create seamless loops for collection ads and carousel videos
  • Add captions/subtitles optimized for silent autoplay

Design & Development

  • Develop and refine branding assets (logos, typography, color schemes, and visual identities) for diverse clients
  • Create pixel-precise & dynamic design components; prepare spec requirements for development
  • Develop polished visual language with appropriate look and feel to support brand, product, and content
  • Oversee the component lifecycle from design to implementation
  • Excel at conceptualizing projects from scratch

Optimization & Innovation

  • Analyze performance data and iterate quickly to beat control ads
  • Stay on the forefront of development and trends for creatives and landing pages
  • Use AI and automation tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Leonardo, Synthesia, etc.) to streamline production
  • Stay current on direct response best practices, creative trends, and ad format requirements

Collaboration

  • Work with cross-functional teams (content, marketing, data & developer teams) to gather requirements
  • Define design objectives aligned with project goals
  • Maintain open communication with account leads and media buyers

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of creative and design experience, with a portfolio of high-performing DR ads
  • 2+ years of experience designing landing pages in Figma
  • 2+ years of experience working with international clients
  • 2+ years of hands-on video editing experience with demonstrable results
  • Proven success creating Meta and YouTube ad creatives that convert cold traffic
  • Strong understanding of direct response principles (hooks, urgency, risk reversal, social proof, clear CTAs)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Advanced video editing skills including color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics
  • Experience producing and editing UGC-style content, VSLs, and sales-focused short-form videos
  • Ability to edit 5-10 videos per week while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to interpret and act on performance metrics to drive creative optimization
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapid iteration cycles
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and production efficiency
  • A “can-do” attitude and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment
